Inception of HARTING Automotive producing contact systems, special cables, electromagnetic and mechanical components for automotive suppliers

1999

M8 and M12 connectors open up the sensor and actuator markets for HARTING.

2000

Cabling solutions delivering comprehensive added value (e.g. IP protection, vibration resistance, EMC security, etc.) are convincing in IT and building automation

Strategic realignment as the HARTING Technology Group. Globalization and concentration on the core business field of connectors.

2003

RJ Industrial®. The industrial Ethernet interface

2004

World's first crimp connection in M12 circular connectors for railways. Established as a standard in the meantime.

2006

MID technology. Increasingly compact sensor systems require safe and secure solutions in automotive, industrial and medical technology.

HARTING markets the largest DIN portfolio worldwide. Reliable quality, proven in practice a million times over.

With its portfolio of RFID transponders, antennas, cables, readers and software, HARTING is developing a range of products for the contactless identification of components, workpiece carriers and tools, but also for the optimization of throughput times in manufacturing. The company wins the the coveted Hermes AWARD.

2007

2009

M12 circular connector with PushPull locking. Ready for the 10G age

Launch of modular preLink Ethernet cabling system for unsurpassed flexibility

2010

Han-Yellock® and Han-Eco®. New connectivty generation: lightweight, lever-free, intuitive locking and unlocking

2012

Electric mobility. HARTING is pushing ahead with its developments for charging infrastructure solutions in the AC and also in the DC sector for rapid charging.

A new product series of HARTING current sensors has been developed for wind power plants.

Smaller, more powerful, more robust. The har-flex® series meets the demands for miniaturized product series in industry 4.0

2013

Han®High-Temp for high temperature applications and Han®HMC designed for 10,000+ production cycles

2016

MICA® processes data flows, thereby integrating existing systems into digital production landscapes or the cloud. This investment protection concept wins the HERMES Award. Example: Smart Farming solutions.

Little Giants, a new generation of miniaturized Ethernet interfaces provide high-performance connections enabling IIOT.

ix Industrial - more robust and compact than conventional LAN connectors. The future interface for GBit Ethernet in the manufacturing area.

2018

Han® configurator. The online tool puts together the connector solutions and combinations you are looking for in just a few mouse clicks. Collaborative team functions and 3-D visualization make the tool valuable for agile developments.

ix Industrial® wins the "Best of Industry Award 2018" in the Automation category, MM Maschinenmarkt

2019

Han®1A first miniaturized and almost tool-less modular connector series for mechanical engineering & robotics

Opening of the European Distribution Center. HARTING deploys in-house solutions in its own logistics centre.

ix Industrial® wins the "Innovative Product Award" in China

2020
